Mike Payne
Michael Payne: Mike has been a professional hunter for years .He spent his early years in some of Zimbabwe’s best National parks where his dad was a warden and has grown up with a love for the bush and it’s wildlife. After tobacco farming for many years Mike took up full time hunting in 2008 and he and Leon started Savè Safaris in 2010. Mike’s team consist of Winna and Bonnie who are both from the Dande region in the Zambezi Valley. Winna is a highly skilled tracker and Bonnie will save you many miles of walking! Mike is married to Mel who runs the office in Harare and has two children, Connor and Chloe.
Leon Duplessis
Leon Duplessis grew up hunting, started off his career guiding for four years in Zambia and then moved to the Save conservancy in 1993. He lives on the ranch with his wife Judy and their three children, Riaan, Stephanie and Gabriella. Leon’s trackers are Obert and Stanford. They have been working together for over 10 years hunting mainly in Save and also in the Zambezi valley and low veld.
